Focus area
In the last decade, maternal and child mortality in Kenya has declined by over 20 per cent. However, this progress is not equitably realized throughout Kenya. Serious health service delivery challenges persist for highly vulnerable populations, particularly women and children in Northern Kenya.
Marsabit County has one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the country over three times the national average and the mortality rate under 5 years old is nearly twice the national average. In this project, Concern Worldwide, will seek to strengthen the government health system at facility and community level to deliver basic health services and, specifically, to ensure quality provision.
Vad ska hända i projektet
