EAT Foundation
Innovative and sustainable solutions for the world’s food systems
Project information
Duration of the project
Time status
Food has become a primary source of deteriorating health and environmental degradation around the world. Obesity and chronic lifestyle diseases are increasing, while global food production and consumption account for up to 30% of the world’s carbon dioxide emissions. The current food policy, the way the food industry works as well as consumers’ preferences all drive overconsumption and unsustainable and unhealthy food.
In this project, the Swedish Postcode Foundation, together with the EAT Foundation, wants to emphasize the crucial importance of our way of producing and consuming food for our health and our planet by building commitment, creating new innovative solutions and secure commitments in connection with the UN summit. The networks that have been built and the methods that have been developed and used in previous projects that have been implemented with support from the Postcode Foundation will be used within the project, but the UN summit as a platform will create great opportunities for increased scope and effect.
The Swedish Postcode Foundation supports the project with SEK 4,440,000.
