Smallholder farmers are on the frontlines of climate change and these effects are hardest on farmers living in the most remote parts of Africa. To protect their farms and livelihoods, it is critical that these farmers adapt their planting methods in order to become more climate resilient.
In this project, myAgro will develop a series of video trainings that teach farmers in Senegal about the most current and effective climate-resilient farming practices. Farmers can easily access these trainings over their mobile phones at any time and even in the most remote regions of Africa, providing them with the most up-to-date information in real time.

What the project delivers
A visual material is produced to make smallholder farmers more resilient to climate change. The material is disseminated through local employees in Senegal who are also trained on how to produce new parts in order to continuously adapt to the ongoing changing conditions.
Why we support this project
Small-scale agriculture accounts for a large part of the food supply in the world, but many farmers are ill-equipped to face the effects of climate change. The project contributes to better living conditions for the individual farmer, as well as counters widespread food shortages and poverty.
