Many of today’s most urgent health and environment challenges are linked to food and food production. Global food production and consumption account for as much as 30% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, while undernourishment, obesity and chronic lifestyle diseases in many places are growing health problems. Finding common solutions to food, health and environmental problems requires a holistic approach and efforts across sectors and countries. In this project, EAT Foundation will work with a network of cities from all over the world to create food systems that can keep citizens healthy while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
