Application Guide
We want it to be easy to apply for project funding from us. Here we guide you step-by-step through the application process, from idea to completed project.
For Sweden and International
Here is how it works:
1. Submit Your Project Idea
Start by filling out our online application form. Here, you should briefly describe your organization’s project idea. Show what makes your idea unique, why it’s needed, and how it can create change. Be as concrete and clear as possible. We ask that you submit this initial application at least four months before your intended project start date.
2. Initial Assessment
Applications are reviewed by working groups to ensure fair evaluation of each project idea. We review applications continuously and carefully assess them based on our criteria and evaluation principles. If we need clarifications or additional information, we will contact you.
3. Initial Feedback
You will receive initial feedback on how we wish to proceed with your project idea within 4 to 6 weeks.
4. Organization Assessment
If we decide to move forward with your idea, we will need more information about your organization. At this stage, we request references and documents such as annual reports, registration certificates, and statutes.
5. Full Application
If you’ve reached this stage, you will now receive a dedicated project manager from our team who will assist you in preparing a full application, which includes a project plan, timeline, and budget. The time this step takes depends largely on how well-developed your idea is when you come to us.
6. Decision
Now it’s time for us to make a decision on whether to approve your application and fund your project. We have a well-developed decision-making process, and make decisions continuously for which projects we choose to fund.
7. Agreement and Project Start
If the formal decision is a yes, we will enter into a project agreement. The agreement outlines our commitment to support the project and your organization’s commitment to carry it out. Once the agreement is signed, the first payment is made, and the project can begin!
For the Neighborhood Initiative
Here is how it works:
1. Submit your Project Idea
Fill out our simple online application form where you describe what you want to do, for whom, and why.
2. We assess your Application
We look at how well the project matches our criteria — for example, how it promotes meetings, and participation amongst neighbors in local communities.
3. Feedback
You will receive initial feedback within 2 to 6 weeks. We usually follow up with a few additional questions before giving a final decision on support.
4. Agreement is Signed
If the project is granted funding, we will sign an agreement together digitally (via e-signature).
5. Project Starts
Now it’s time to get started! You’ll receive access to support and materials to help you along the way.
6. Final Report via Online Survey
When the project is completed, you’ll fill out a short report online. This helps us learn and share good examples.
Note! You can find our Criterias on the page for Our Support.
