Our mission is to provide fast, flexible and informed support actors who contribute to long-term positive societal development. We strengthen civil society by supporting projects that challenge, inspire and create change.
The Swedish Postcode Lottery believes that a strong civil society is essential for creating a better world. We share that conviction and we fund projects that contribute to positive social development.
The Swedish Postcode Lottery Foundation was established by the Swedish Postcode Lottery. We are an independent donor, and our mission is made possible thanks to the lottery’s surplus. Each year, we receive a share of the lottery’s surplus, which we distribute to civil society in the form of project funding. In this way, everyone who participates in the Swedish Postcode Lottery helps ensure that the non-profit organizations receive funding from us to develop ideas, drive change, and create a better world — in Sweden, internationally, and in our local communities.
At the last distribution of the lottery’s surplus in March 2025, we received 200 million SEK to pass on to civil society — funds that enable even more important projects contributing to positive societal development.
Since we began awarding project support in 2007, we have distributed over 2.4 billion SEK to more than 1,300 projects worldwide.
