Football for Good (FFG) utilises the unique potential and unparalleled platform of grassroots and professional football to mobilise, engage, integrate, inspire and empower disadvantaged young people, transcending boundaries of age, race, gender, sexual orientation, culture, or nationality in a playful and low-threshold way. What first began as a niche movement in the early 2000s is now an established driver for sustainable social change and a global movement, able to amplify the impact of football as a catalyst for both planet and people. Despite its widespread and international growth over the last decade, the sector falls short of assessing, demonstrating and improving the true potential and influence of its collective impact vis-à-vis the Sustainable Development Goals.

This project’s aim is to visibly and systemically align sport and in particular football with social and environmental sustainability, using the UN 2030 Agenda as the blueprint to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all. The Swedish Postcode Foundation, in collaboration with Common Goal, will enable the development of a digital infrastructure that provides access to official certification related to programmatic and organisational quality.

The Swedish Postcode Foundation supports this project with SEK 2 325 000.
